JEWELRY CARE
Jewelry Care
- Don't Wear Jewelry In Swimming Pools and Spas – Chlorinated water can react with the metals found in jewelry causing color changes and even structural damage. As a result it's a good idea to remove jewelry before entering the pool or spa.
- Put Jewelry On After Applying Makeup – Cosmetics, hairspray, perfumes and lotion can contain chemicals that can often damage jewelry. Putting jewelry on after applying these materials will limit exposure to jewelry and any potential damage.
- Remove Jewelry During Tasks and sports – When performing kitchen work, gardening, cleaning the house and other common tasks, remove your jewelry to prevent physical damage or exposure to chemicals or cleaning fluids. All jewelry should be removed before doing sports.
- Remove Your Jewelry Before Bathing - Remove all jewelry before showering or cleaning. Soap can cause a film to form, making it appear dull and dingy. The acid in some lotion or soap may cause the jewelry to tarnish and can leave you with a harmless dark-green or black stain. Taking your jewelry off before washing with soap will also reduce your chances of going green.
- Clean jewelry with care - Polish silver or gold with a jewelry polishing cloth for best results. To remove tarnish stain, jewelry cleaner always works excellent.
- Prevent Your Jewelry from Tarnishing - Sometimes jewelry tarnishes due to not being worn, especially silver and gold. To maintain the luster of your jewelry, place jewelry in a sealed bag will prevent the oxidants that discolor and tarnish jewelry.
Cuff Bracelet Care
To adjust a turquoise cuff bracelet without stressing it, follow these steps:
- Hold the bracelet by its ends, avoiding the gemstone settings to prevent pressure on the stones.
- Gently apply even pressure to the sides, either opening or closing the cuff slowly to fit your wrist size. Move each side separately rather than bending the entire bracelet at once.
- Avoid sharp or sudden movements that could strain the silver or loosen the gemstones.
- If the cuff feels too tight or loose, adjust in small increments to prevent over-bending.
- Do not repeatedly adjust the bracelet, as frequent bending can weaken the silver over time, and can also cause the stones to pop.
This gentle, gradual adjustment helps maintain the integrity of the silver and protects the gemstones.

Adjustable ring can be resized and are often known as wrap rings. It can be resized rather easily, but it has to be done carefully or else your rings will become damaged and outstretched.
Here’s how you can resize your adjustable ring for a perfect and comfortable fit:
- Use both your hands and have a firm grip on both sides of the adjustable ring band.
- Gently and slowly pull the sides of the ring outwards by a tiny margin.
- Next, use your thumbs to lightly apply pressure at the top of the adjustable ring to maintain the round shape of the ring.
- Put the adjustable ring on your finger. If you think the adjustable ring is still too tight around your fingers, then repeat step 2 and 3 until the ring is comfortable to your liking.
This gentle, gradual adjustment helps maintain the integrity of the silver and protects the gemstones.
